# Publisher overview

> What Valedo staff manage, which roles they need, and how they sign in.

This manual is for Valedo staff who run the service for all customers: the publisher team that owns the Marketplace offer, supports customer tenants and reconciles billing. Engineering work (building, deploying, app registrations as code) is in the [developer documentation](https://docs.valedo.uniwave.ai/developers/quickstart.md).

> [!WARNING]
>
> **Status: partly available.** The Publisher Console (`console.valedo.uniwave.ai`) has a dashboard, the tenant list and tenant detail, all read-only. The other areas are planned: they show a "Not available yet" page. The tasks in this manual describe the target design (README §6.2) and are not available yet unless a page says otherwise.

## Where you work

| Tool | Used for |
| - | - |
| Publisher Console (`console.valedo.uniwave.ai`, dev: `console.dev.valedo.uniwave.ai`) | Tenants, licensing overrides, billing and metering, pricing mirror, operations, support access |
| Microsoft Partner Center | The Marketplace offer, plans, prices, trials and payouts. Partner Center is the source of truth for prices. |
| Microsoft Entra admin center (publisher tenant) | Staff role assignments and Conditional Access for the Publisher Console |

The Publisher Console is the only place that can see across customer tenants. It never shows the content of a customer's templates or rules unless that customer has granted support access.

## Roles

Staff get access through app roles on the **Valedo Publisher Console** enterprise application in the publisher tenant. Assign roles to groups rather than to individual users. Users without a role cannot sign in.

| Role | Can do |
| - | - |
| `Valedo.Publisher.Support` | View tenants, their state history, sync health and configuration counts; view a tenant's templates and rules only under an active support grant from that customer |
| `Valedo.Publisher.Finance` | Billing and metering views, finance exports, manual usage re-emission within the 24-hour window |
| `Valedo.Publisher.Admin` | Everything above, plus licensing overrides, pricing mirror, operations (dead-letter replay, purge queue) and the publisher audit log |

Every role sees the dashboard (tenants by state, trial conversions, mailbox totals, failing jobs).

## Sign-in requirements

* Sign in with your account in the publisher's own Entra tenant. Accounts from other tenants are rejected.
* Conditional Access requires MFA and a compliant device.
* The Publisher API is a separate service with its own token audience, so a customer token can never call it.
